A 26-year-old Tyrone woman and a 51-year-old Dubois man were allegedly involved in a harassment and assault on Jan. 23 shortly before 5 p.m.
Police allege Joseph J. Ogershor and Jodi L. Shatzer became engaged in a verbal altercation that turned physical.
Police said both individuals struck the other. Both were to be charged with summary harassment.

A 15-year-old rural Tyrone girl was involved in a one-vehicle accident on at the intersection of Grandview and Holland Lane in Antis Township on Jan. 24.
Police said the teen was driving south on Grandview Road and lost control on the wet road. Her car crossed over the centerline and struck a guardrail with its front end. When the car hit the guardrail, it spun around to face north and came to rest on the road. Once the vehicle was at rest, the teen driver drove away from the scene traveling north on Grandview. Both tires on the front of the car had gone flat and the driver was unable to control the vehicle. The car traveled off the road and into a drainage ditch on the east side of the roadway. Once in the ditch, the car continued to travel north for approximately 69 feet before it became disabled.
Bellwood Ambulance transferred the girl to Altoona Hospital. Bellwood’s fire department assisted state police at the scene.

A 31-year-old Bellwood woman was the victim of an alleged harassment on East Main Street in Bellwood on Jan. 24 at 9:15 p.m.
Police said Chantel Marie Fromm got into a confrontation with her daughter’s 17-year-old boyfriend. Police said during the confrontation, the teen threatened the woman.
The investigation is continuing.

A 25-year-old Tyrone man was involved in a one-vehicle accident on State Route 4013 in Warriors Mark Township on Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Thomas Dry was traveling east on the road and hit a south embankment. His vehicle rolled over on the driver’s side. Police said there was blowing snow that caused whiteout conditions at the time of the accident.
Dry was wearing a seat belt and suffered a minor back injury. His SUV had severe damage.

State police investigated a hit-and-run accident that happened on State Route 350 near Tuskovich Lane in Taylor Township, Centre County on Jan. 26.
Police said they received a report that an unknown vehicle exited the road for unknown reasons and entered a field and struck a small tree. The vehicle then re-entered the road and fled the scene.
