Hollidaysburg state police
Police were called to state Route 36, north of Spring State in Taylor Township at 12:17 p.m. June 19 to investigate an accident.
Police said vehicles operated by Lois Pote of Roaring Springs and Ronald Eastep of Altoona were stopped in traffic when a vehicle operated by Sephanie Betar of Tyrone crashed into the rear of the Eastep vehicle. No injuries were reported and all occupants were wearing safety belts.

Members of Troop G, Hollidaysburg, will be conducting sobriety checkpoints in Blair County in the upcoming weeks.
Motorists that encounter checkpoints will be stopped briefly. Only when there is an indication that a driver has consumed alcohol or controlled substances, or committed any other traffic/criminal violation, may a vehicle be pulled over for further investigation.
Primary emphasis will be on driving under the influence violations, but all traffic/criminal violations will be enforced.
Huntingdon state police
Police report a generator was stolen from a site where a Tyrone man is building a home. The generator was leased from A.P.M. and has a “A.P.M. Rent It” sticker on it. The item is valued at $1,000.
