Joseph Wayne Carper, 68, of Rt. 45, Box 66, Spruce Creek, Pa. died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at his residence.
He was born September 9, 1939 in Spruce Creek, a son of Claude Wippo and Anne S. (Rollman) Carper.
He is survived by sisters Romaine Hamer (Domer) and Bonnie L. Carper of Spruce Creek and a brother Ronald G. Carper (Joann) of Lexington, S.C.; four nephews, Domer Hamer, Jr., Wayne Hamer, Aaron Hamer and Marco Carper; four great-nieces, Jennifer Hamer, Ally Hamer, Alisha Hamer and Kaitlyn Hamer.
He was a graduate of Juniata Valley High School and Lock Haven University and retired as a math and science teacher from the Juniata Valley School District after many years service.
Interment and graveside services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark with Pastor Bruce Boyles officiating.
Arrangements were by the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone.
