Johnny Franco (2), who earlier signed a letter of intent to attend and play football at the U.S. Military Academy, has received a scholarship of $1,000 from the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Central Pennsylvania Chapter, at their 11th annual scholar-athlete awards banquet on Sunday. Franco, along with students from 38 different Central PA high schools and three area colleges was honored for outstanding achievement on the football gridiron, and also for success in the classroom and for character shown through community involvement.
