A third area artist, Theresa Johnsonbaugh, has contributed one of her artworks to the auction accompanying the Women’s Club of Tyrone’s dinner dance to benefit the Tyrone Hospital on Saturday, April 5 at the US Hotel in Hollidaysburg. Johnsonbaugh started painting in oils in 1984, and after 15 years in that medium, she began to explore the watercolor medium, which she feels offers more possibilities for creativity. Johnsonbaugh’s artwork contribution has a local flair as it is a matted and framed watercolor entitled “Spruce Creek Redbuds”. She exhibits in local art shows, paints on a commission basis, and has several of her works on display at Burley’s Restaurant.
