Fern, 76, of 617 Stadium Drive, Bellwood, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Tyrone Hospital.<br \/>\nShe was born August 26, 1931, in Northwood, a daughter of the late Wall, Jr. and Mary (Orwick) Moore. On March 30, 1952, in Tyrone, she married Carl E. (Jim) Fern.\u00a0 He died November 21, 1981.<br \/>\nSurviving are four daughters: Pamela K. Ayers and husband Edward of Tipton; Penny L. Brunner and husband Jerry of Bellwood; Paula A. Johnson and husband Bill of Altoona; and Patty S. Mogle and husband Harry of Tipton. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwendolyn, a brother Robert, a sister Dolly and companion Richard Hosko.<br \/>\nShe retired in 1992 as owner\/operator of Mr. Cee\u201as Restaurant, Altamonte Springs, Florida, for fifteen years. She previously, with her husband Jim, was owner of Ferns Restaurant, Tyrone, for five years.<br \/>\nHarriet enjoyed sharing time with her family and grandchildren.<br \/>\nFuneral services will be held Saturday July 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Pastor Kenneth Beichler officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.<br \/>\nMemorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Ave., Altoona, Pa. 16601.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Harriet R.
