Harry E. Chaney, 53, of 905B – E. Caroline Ave., Altoona, Pa. went to be with his Lord Wed., Feb. 27, 2008 at the Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus, after a lengthy illness.
\nHe was born January 10, 1955 at Roaring Spring, Pa. the son of Harry and June (Strait) Chaney.
\nOn Oct. 23, 1992 he married Sandra \u201cSandi\u201d Cowher.
\nHe is survived by his wife and a daughter Katie Chaney of Altoona. A step-daughter Rose Windsor in Philadelphia. Step-grandchildren: Tawni, Ciara, Ethan and Mya.
\nHe was a graduate of Penn State University in Accounting. He was a compassionate and talented person. An avid reader of history, and enjoyed oil painting and music. He was an accomplished self-employed accountant for many years.
\nThere will be no viewing.
\nA memorial service will be held Monday, March 3, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor Steven E. Burns officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour before the memorial service.
