The next meeting of the Little Juniata River Association will be held Tuesday, August 12 at 7 p.m. in the Tyrone Library community room.
\nThe discussion at this month\u2019s meeting will include: headwater threats, Kettle Creek timbering, Sandy Run purchase status, Grazierville Spring update, reports of low numbers of bugs this season, low water conditions, pending flood control activities, public access program, programs for fall and winter meetings and any other issues that need to be discussed.
\nThe public is invited to attend.
\nThe Little Juniata River Association is a non-profit organization which seeks to monitor, preserve and improve the Little Juniata River and its tributaries as a cold water resource, now and for generations to come.
\nAnd for those who haven\u2019t had a chance, it\u2019s a great time to check out the new LJRA website.
\nThe forums are a great place to share stories and information with others, whether they live across the street or across the country.
\nIndividuals can register and participate in discussions concerning a variety of topics ranging from fly fishing, spin fishing, birding and floating to conservation issues, public access and wildlife sightings.
\nAny topic is welcome as long as it relates to the Little Juniata River or it’s watershed and tributaries.
\nOther additions include a picture gallery featuring photos submitted by individuals.
\nThe website is also a great place to go to keep up to date on what\u2019s happening with the \u201cLittle J\u201d.
\nInterested individuals can even check for river updates before heading out for the day.
