Helen Lavina Miller, 98, of Tyrone, Pa. died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008.
\nShe was born June 19, 1909 in Ironsville, Pa. a daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Updike) Calderwood.
\nShe was married to Charles Cecil Miller who died Oct. 19, 1990.
\nSurvived by a daughter Anna \u201cSusan\u201d Noel of Tyrone and a son Charles \u201cBucky\u201d Miller (Kathryn) of Midland, Tx.
\nFour grandchildren: Sandra Watson (Jeffrey) and Jennifer Hoover (Rick) of Tyrone; Sally Rader (Doug) of Glendale, Ariz. and Tim Miller (Lupe) of Midland, Tx.
\nEight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
\nA sister Margaret Zeek of Tyrone and several nieces and nephews.
\nShe was preceded in death by brothers James, Paul, William and Luther, and sisters Harriet Hunter, Catherine McFalls, Anne Widney, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
\nShe was a member of the former Ironsville Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
\nShe retired as Janitoress at the former Home Electric Co., Tyrone.
\nA funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Peggy J. Bonsell officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery.
\nFriends will be received at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
