Helen I. Henshey, 86 of Tyrone RD 2 Bell-Tip Road, died Tuesday evening, December 18, 2007, at her home.
\nShe was born September 17, 1921 in Tipton, a daughter of the late David M. and Ella (Cherry) Reed. She married John Louis Henshey on June 28, 1941 in Woodstock, VA. He died January 24, 2000.
\nSurviving are sons: Kenneth W. and wife, Debbie and Jeff and wife, Tammy all of Tyrone RD 2; daughters: Barbara J. Dugan of Montoursville and Jean I. Smith of Tyrone RD 2; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a brother: Gene Reed of Easton.
\nShe was preceded in death by a daughter: Becky, three sons: John L., Jr., Daniel R. and Gary L.; a granddaughter: Jaime I. Smith and by four brothers and a sister.
\nHelen was a homemaker and worked along side her husband for many years on the family farm. She retired as a hoagie maker at Marianna Foods, Tipton with fourteen years of service.
\nShe was a member of the first graduating class of Bellwood-Antis High School in 1939.
\nHelen was a member of Tipton United Methodist Church.
\nFriends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2007 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood.
\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Ludrowsky and Rev. Robert Kennedy officiating.
\nPrivate interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood at the convenience of the family.
