{"id":2282,"date":"2007-12-07T11:01:46","date_gmt":"2007-12-07T15:01:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p=2282"},"modified":"2008-08-29T11:02:37","modified_gmt":"2008-08-29T15:02:37","slug":"tyrone-swim-teams-open-with-wins-over-dragons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=2282","title":{"rendered":"Tyrone swim teams open with wins over Dragons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tyrone\u2019s boys and girls swim teams opened the season against Central at the Penn State Altoona campus pool on Thursday evening with each squad gaining their first victory.<br \/>\nThe Tyrone boys with a double win by Ethan Nulton edged past the Scarlet Dragon boys 86-73, while the Tyrone Lady Eagles won every event on the way to thrashing the Central girls 104-12.<br \/>\nNulton won both the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke and also swam the opening leg of the Eagle\u2019s winning 200 medley relay, and the Tyrone boys showed the depth needed to provide the win. Tyrone scored wins in just four of the 11 events, but had eight seconds and four thirds to pile up enough points for the triumph.<br \/>\nAllen Hosko joined Nulton in the victory circle with a win in the 100 breaststroke and joined Nulton, Dustin Elder and Ethan Lewis on the winning 200 medley relay team.<br \/>\nBrittany Day (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle), Kelly Pearson (200 IM, 100 backstroke) and Chynna Beisel (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle) led the Lady Eagles with a pair of individual wins each. Salena Bradigan won the 100 butterfly, and Christina Brisbin won the 100 breaststroke.<br \/>\nPearson, Brisbin, Bradigan and Beisel won the 200 medley relay, Brisbin, Abby Cowfer, Steph Snyder and Day won the 200 freestyle relay, and Pearson, Cowfer, Bradigan and Beisel won the 400 freestyle relay for the Lady Eagles.<br \/>\nThe Tyrone swim teams will travel to  Richland on Monday for a 5 p.m. match.<br \/>\nBoys<br \/>\nTyrone 86  Central 73<br \/>\n200 Medley Relay: 1.
