With the holiday season upon us, the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce\u2019s annual \u201cChristmas Lighting Fund Appeal\u201d to bring the community another year of fantastic decorations, lights and festivities is now under way.
\nIn the past years, with the help of generous donations from the community, the Chamber of Commerce was able to light the streets of Tyrone.
\nPast support has made possible the purchase of snowflake banners, stars, bows and two sky liners.
\nIt is the hope of the Chamber to continue with the tradition of making the Tyrone community a centerpiece of northern Blair County by again decorating the beautiful community for the holiday season.
\nThis year, the Chamber has purchased 32 holiday banners to add to previous purchases. These banners will be located on Pennsylvania Avenue and 10th Street as well as intersections throughout the downtown area.
\nThe \u201cChristmas Lighting Fund\u201d is only one of many ways that the Chamber of Commerce of Tyrone area shows its commitment to the enhancement of the community.
\nAt this time, the Chamber is asking everyone to be a part of the \u201cChristmas Lighting Fund Appeal\u201d. By making a monetary donation to the \u201cChristmas Lighting Fund\u201d you can make a difference in the life of the people of Tyrone.
