The administration wasn\u2019t sure if the rumors started by phone, email or text messaging.<br \/>\n\u201cThe administration felt they needed to follow through&#8230; and make sure everything was okay,\u201d added Sharer.<br \/>\nShe said state police were also on hand as a show of presence during the lockdown situation.<br \/>\nSharer said everything proved to be okay, and the lockdown was over at 10:38 a.m.<br \/>\nOther reports to the Herald included that several children were picked up from school after the lockdown by their parents or relatives, due to continued concerns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, the Tyrone Area Middle and High School was forced to go into a lockdown for about an hour in the morning, due to rumors of threats.
