Lovie A. Walls, 74, of 1400 Cameron Ave., Tyrone, PA died Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the Tyrone Hospital.
\nShe was born November 13, 1933 in Tyrone, a daughter of Edward and Grace (Maines) Updike.
\nShe was married November 9, 1949 in Tyrone to Elmer L. Walls who died March 27, 2006.
\nShe is survived by two daughters, Joyce A. Walls and Margaret D. Walls, grandchildren Tabitha A. Robison (Mike) and Alan Walls (Doreen), great-grandchildren Mariah Robison, Brett Robison, Rayann Walls, all of Tyrone.
\nA brother George Updike of Altoona and a sister Esther Harris of Niagara Falls, NY.
\nA nephew, Lee Walls of Warriors Mark was raised in the home.
\nThere are several nieces and nephews.
\nShe was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
\nShe was a homemaker and caregiver in helping to raise 21 foster children.
\nShe was a great supporter of the Salvation Army and enjoyed collecting clocks.
\nFuneral services will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Major John Zanders officiating.
\nInterment will be at Eastlawn Cemetery.
\nFriends will be received at the funeral home on Monday 6-9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Tuesday.
