Robert Lee Carson, 65, of 4476 Meadow Wood Lane, Warriors Mark, Pa., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007 at the Altoona Regional Health System – Altoona Hospital Campus.
\nHe was born November 16, 1941 in Tyrone, a son of the late Paul and Elizabeth M. (Black) Carson.
\nHe was married December 3, 1961 to Donna J. Mills.
\nHe is survived by his wife, a son Robert L. Carson, II and his friend Rebecca Smith of RD3 Tyrone and a granddaughter Mindy Marie Carson. Also, two sisters, Anna Kennedy of Philipsburg and Louise Henninger of RD3 Tyrone, a special nephew Paul Smith and several other nieces and nephews.
\nHe was preceded in death by brothers Ralph and Elwood Carson.
\nHe was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School in 1961 and had served in the Penna. National Guard.
\nHe was employed as an Industrial Engineer with Mead-Westvaco Corp. and previously as Plant Manager of Tyrone Apparel and a longtime Big Yank employee.
\nBy request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or visitation. A private Ceremony-of-Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
\nThose who desire may make contributions in his memory to the American Diabetes Assn. or to the Tyrone Hospital.
