Phyllis J. Sweitzer, 85, of Tipton died Tuesday evening, October 16, 2007 at Altoona Regional Health System, Bon Secours Campus.
\nShe was born January 11, 1922 in Tyrone, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mabel (Lilly) Keppler. She married Pastor Paul V. Sweitzer on August 15, 1951 at Grace Bible Church, Tyrone.
\nSurviving are her husband; sons: Michael P. Sweitzer and wife, Cathy of RD 3 Altoona and Philip J. Sweitzer, Esq. of Frederick, MD; a daughter: Paula J. Sweitzer of Tipton; grandsons: Doug Sweitzer of Altoona and Mark Sweitzer of Spring City, PA.
\nShe was preceded in death by brothers: William, Arthur, Robert and Jack Keppler.
\nPhyllis was a member of Tipton Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She also attended Port Matilda Baptist Church.
\nShe enjoyed cooking and baking.
\nFriends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2007 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood.
\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Tipton Baptist Church with Pastor John Pine officiating.
\nInterment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
