{"id":311,"date":"2008-05-06T12:32:46","date_gmt":"2008-05-06T16:32:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p=311"},"modified":"2008-06-06T12:33:17","modified_gmt":"2008-06-06T16:33:17","slug":"game-commission-officer-accused-of-impersonating-officer-after-incident-in-tyrone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=311","title":{"rendered":"Game Commission officer accused of impersonating officer after incident in Tyrone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tyrone Police reported a Seasonal Game Commission officer pulled over two teenage girls on Reservoir Drive in Tyrone on Christmas Eve and identified himself as a member of the Drug Task Force.<br \/>\nThomas Sanford Pringle, 39, of York Springs, Pa. was arraigned May 2, 2008 by Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller in the presence of his attorney.<br \/>\nPringle was released on $100,000 unsecured bail.<br \/>\nA preliminary hearing is set for May 27, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at Miller\u2019s office.<br \/>\nPringle is charged with two counts each of felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor official oppression-deny right, privilege and one count of impersonating a public servant.<br \/>\nAccording to court documents, Pringle used a flashing light bar to pull the girls over on Christmas Eve.<br \/>\nHe then asked for the driver\u2019s license and identified himself as a member of the Drug Task Force.<br \/>\nOne of the girls recognized the man as a Game Commission officer. In late January the girl\u2019s mother reported the incident to Tyrone Police and the girl provided a written statement of the event.<br \/>\nAccording to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, officers do have the right to pull over any vehicle in the Commonwealth for any suspected violation of game law.
