\nBetween the dates of September 15 through September 25, state police reported an incident of harassment at a residence along California Hollow, Taylor Township. Police state that a known female suspect, age 44, from Luray, Virginia, sent Amy Woomer, 42, Tyrone, numerous inappropriate e-mail\u2019s. The investigation is continuing.

\nFailed to return radio
\nDuring the dates of September 18 through September 25, state police reported a known male suspect, age 29, from Warriors Mark, failed to return a Motorola two-way radio belonging to Halfmoon Towing in Port Matilda, after being terminated from his job. The radio is valued at approximately $800. The investigation is continuing.

\nMotor vehicle fire
\nState police reported on September 25, Bryce R. Benner, 41, Port Matilda, was traveling south on SR 0220, near the Centre County line in Snyder Township, when his 2002 Chrysler Sebring began experiencing mechanical failure. Upon pulling over, Benner\u2019s vehicle caught fire in the engine compartment. Benner suffered no injuries and was wearing his seat belt. The investigation is continuing.

\nDrove without permission
\nOn September 25, state police reported a known person drove off in a 2003 Harley Davidson Sportster without the permission of its owner, Troy Daniel Bouteller, 34, Tyrone. The suspect was later stopped for speeding by Altoona City Police Department near the 400 block of Valley View. Bouteller was informed of the unauthorized use as he was contacted by APD in regards to the traffic stop. As a result of this investigation, Bouteller declined to pursue charges against the suspect.

\nDUI
\nOn Wednesday, September 26, state police pulled over James Lee Alexander, 63, Bellwood, along SR 4019, Antis Township, between Bellwood and Pinecroft. Alexander was stopped for speeding and was determined to be intoxicated, according to the police report. He was taken into custody and taken to the Tyrone Hospital for testing. Charges pending the test results.

Struck deer, then fled
\nState police reported on September 27, an unknown person, driving a 1997 Dodge Caravan, was traveling north on I-99 near the Pinecroft Exit, when the person struck a deer, rendering the vehicle inoperable. The identity of the driver is not yet known as no one was around when police arrived. The vehicle was towed.

\nStruck guide rail, then fled
\nOn September 27, state police reported James Michael Hommel, 39, Tyrone, hit a guide rail along Decker Hollow Road, Snyder Township, while driving his Plymouth Neon. After Hommel hit the guide rail, he fled the scene on foot. Hommel had a minor injury and it was unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

\nState police reported a one vehicle accident on September 27 along Grandview Road at Hollen Lane, Antis Township. Police state that Rachel E. Rozella, 19, Tipton, was attempting to round a curve in the roadway and lost control of her 1997 Ford Escort and struck the embankment and rolled onto the roof.
