{"id":3538,"date":"2007-09-10T11:41:30","date_gmt":"2007-09-10T15:41:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p=3538"},"modified":"2008-09-11T11:42:00","modified_gmt":"2008-09-11T15:42:00","slug":"jane-%e2%80%98clementine%e2%80%99-gibboney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=3538","title":{"rendered":"Jane \u2018Clementine\u2019 Gibboney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jane \u201cClementine\u201d Gibboney, 85, formerly of Second Street, Harrisburg went to be with The Lord Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at the Blue Ridge East Nursing Home, Lower Paxton Township, with her loving caregivers and family by her side.<br \/>\nJane was born on April 14, 1922 to her loving parents, the late John G. Gibboney and Vesta Hope (Noble) Gibboney in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. She attended Tyrone Area High School with the class of 1941.<br \/>\nJane was a retired government employee, having worked at the Middletown Air Depot, and the Ships Parts Control Center in Mechanicsburg. Jane was a long standing member of the former Fifth Street United Methodist Church in Harrisburg, where she was very active and served on various committees- most notably, the Easter Egg Project. She also served in her community by becoming involved in various local churches and groups- including the Older Adult Group of The Salvation Army, and The Silver Threads of Zion Lutheran Church, just to name a few.<br \/>\nAunt \u201cClem\u201d, as we lovingly called her, was a very loving, caring and generous woman who had a huge heart. Aunt Clem loved spending time with family, most notably, her dogs, whom she adored: Kippy and Sandy, who preceded her in death- and her beloved \u201cBoots.\u201d Clem loved debating politics, playing Bingo, was an avid reader, and was a big \u201cPenn State Fan.\u201d<br \/>\nAunt Clem will be greatly missed by all of us, her family and friends, and most recently, all the nurses and aides at the nursing home, in particular, \u201cRoxy\u201d, who was her favorite.<br \/>\nSurviving is her brother, William N. Gibboney and his wife, Jane, of Tyrone, Pa, brother in law, Gerald L. Waite of Harrisburg, PA, who was married to her sister, Marjorie F. Waite, who preceded her in death in July 2000, her caregivers, niece, Susan (Waite) and her husband, David M. Crowell, of Harrisburg, Holly, Betsy, Patty, Lee Anne and Lori, who are all her nieces and their husbands. Jane had 18 great nieces and nephews, and two great, great nieces.<br \/>\nThere will be no viewing or funeral services at her request. Interment will be at the convenience of her family. Memorial Contributions can be made to the East Shore Humane Society of Dauphin County, Grayson Road, or the Salvation Army, both of Harrisburg.
