{"id":3548,"date":"2007-09-08T11:48:07","date_gmt":"2007-09-08T15:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p=3548"},"modified":"2008-09-11T11:48:34","modified_gmt":"2008-09-11T15:48:34","slug":"weko-wins-bassmasters-tournament-at-raystown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=3548","title":{"rendered":"Weko wins BassMasters tournament at Raystown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tyrone BassMasters held their seventh tournament of the year on Friday, Aug. 24 and Saturday, Aug. 25 at Raystown Lake.<br \/>\nFishing was tough again with just eight of 14 anglers bringing fish to the scales for weighing in.<br \/>\nMetz Weko of Water Street, took top honors with just three fish, tipping the scales at 6.39 pounds. Weko also caught the Tournament Lunker with a 2.73 smallmouth bass.<br \/>\nNorm Nagl of Altoona, weighed a five-fish limit of 6.38, just one one-hundredth of a pound less than Weko. Nagl\u2019s largest fish weighed 2.68 pounds.<br \/>\nClub leader Randy Rawlings of Mill Creek, hit the scale with a five-fish limit weighing 6.37 pounds, but was penalized 0.13 pounds for a dead fish, leaving him with an adjusted total of 6.24 pounds. He still captured third place inthe tournament.<br \/>\nFourth place was taken by Rick Bradford ofBald Eagle, with two fish weighing in at 2.33 pounds.<br \/>\nThe next event for the Tyrone BassMasters will be held today, Sept. 8, at Raystown Lake with a 6 a.m. shove off.<br \/>\nThe club will also participate inthe Tyrone Sportsmens Field Day on Sunday, Sept. 16. A casting contest for kids ages 11 and under will be held and prizes awarded in three age groups: boys and girls 9-10-11, Boys and girls 7-8 and Boys and girls 6 and under.
