Auditions for the Tyrone Community Players\u2019 production of The Great American Trailer Park Musical are scheduled to be held in the TCP Building, located at 1019 Logan Ave., Tyrone on Sunday and Monday, September 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. each evening.
\nAll those auditioning should be prepared to sing and read, and a pianist will be on hand for musical accompaniment.
\nThe cast of the production will consist of two males and five females, and it should be noted that flamboyant, brazen women are needed for this gaudy, colorful musical!
\nTCP shared a summary of the production, in which there is a new tenant at Armadillo Acres, \u201cSouth Florida\u2019s most exclusive manufactured housing community,\u201d and she is wreaking havoc. When Pippi, an exotic dancer, comes between Dr. Phil – loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth-collector husband, storms begin to brew.
\nNarrated with powerful vocals by three female residents of Armadillo Acres, the music is rowdy, gentle, country, pop and delightful \u2014 all wrapped into one dynamic musical package.
\nThe production does contain some adult themes and language.
\nThe dynamic duo of director, Cindy Bennett, and musical director, Paula Pheasant, are teaming up for what members of TCP hope will be another \u201cstanding room only\u201d show at the Tyrone American Legion.
\nPerformance dates for the show are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 1, 2 and 3 at the Tyrone American Legion Home, 1459 Lincoln Ave.
