A fatal accident occurred in W. Providence Township, Bedford County, last night just after 7 p.m.
\nA vehicle driven by Harold E. Lewis, 60, of RD1 Tyrone was traveling south on SR26 while another vehicle driven by 58-year-old Audrey Debra Cooper of Martinsburg was traveling north on SR26.
\nCooper stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of SR26 and SR1007. Cooper then pulled into the path of Lewis\u2019 vehicle which struck her driver\u2019s side, then traveled down an embankment and rolled onto the roof.
\nLewis was pronounced dead at the scene by coroner Sam Gordon.
\nCooper was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries
\nCooper\u2019s vehicle had a front seat passenger, Nancy Cooper, 80, of Woodbury. She was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries and later died as a result.
\nLewis\u2019 vehicle had three passengers, Darlene Jane Lewis, 58, a 15-year-old and 16-year-old, all of Tyrone. The passengers were all taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
\nBoth Cooper\u2019s Ford Escape and Lewis\u2019 GMC Sierra received disabling damage.<\/p>\n
