TYRONE–Donnie Hunter drove in three runs, and Justin Schopp had three hits, including a double, Tyrone Legions\u2019 only extra-base hit, as Tyrone Legion used a seven-run bottom of the sixth to turn an 8-6 deficit into a 13-8 victory in its George B. Kelley Federation season opener, Saturday.
\nJamie Levinson started for Tyrone Legion, pitching the first four innings, striking out one and walking two.
\n Randy Hoover tossed the final three frames in relief to pick up the win. Hoover fanned four and walked one.
\nThe Tyrone Legion returned to action Sunday, but left their bats at home, collecting only six hits in a 9-3 loss to Park Furniture.
\nDoug Morrow had two of Tyrone\u2019s hits and drove in two runs.
\nPark Furniture scored early in bunches, getting all their runs in the first four innings and then coasted to the victory with Derek McCullough going the distance to post the win, despite walking five Tyrone Legion batters, and no strikeouts.
\nNate Shultz and Matt McMurray each had two RBI for Park Furniture.
\nTyrone will host Hoss\u2019s today at 6 p.m.at the Harry K. Sickler Athletic Park in the first of games on four consecutive days.
