{"id":39392,"date":"2007-02-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2007-02-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p="},"modified":"2007-02-28T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2007-02-28T00:00:00","slug":"Neighborhood-Watch-meeting-showcases-new-effort-to-combat-drugs-and-crime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=39392","title":{"rendered":"Neighborhood Watch meeting showcases new effort to combat drugs and crime"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Neighborhood Watch groups from all areas of Blair County will meet together at the Blair Senior Service Center at 1320 Twelfth Avenue in downtown Altoona on Thursday, March 8, from 6 to 7 p.m.<br \/>\nRandy Feathers, representing the Attorney General\u2019s Bureau of Narcotics, and Michael Fiore, representing local business leaders, will provide details about a new initiative, \u201cOperation Our Town\u201d that has been created by the local business community to help combat the problems of drugs and violence.<br \/>\nAll Neighborhood Watch Groups, as well as the general public, are invited to attend this meeting.<br \/>\nIn Blair County, the Neighborhood Watch effort is coordinated through Blair Senior Services\u2019 Retired and Senior Volunteer Program in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies.
