The Tyrone Community Partnership and Wesley United Methodist Church have joined together to bring back the very popular community dinners.
\nThe first of the new series of dinners will be held Wednesday, January 24 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church at the corner of 12th Street and Logan Avenue.
\nThe menu for this dinner features \u201ccomfort foods\u201d designed to chase the post-holiday blues. It will include tossed salad, apple sauce, mashed potatoes, orange glazed carrots, cole slaw, green beans, chicken noodle soup, Aunt Georgia\u2019s fresh baked rolls, stuffed chicken breast, pineapple upside down cake, meatloaf, and beverages.
\nAdvanced sale tickets are $8, $9 at the door, children\u2019s tickets are $4 and $5 at the door. Children under 5 are admitted free. Tickets are available at the Church office weekday mornings until noon, at the Tyrone Chamber of Commerce, and G & P Dollar Stretcher.
