The Tyrone Area Community Organization has scheduled a spaghetti dinner for December 14 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Tyrone Armory.
\nThe menu will include: spaghetti, meatballs, bread and butter, apple sauce, dessert and soda. Eat-in or take out is available, but there will be no deliveries. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for four to 12-year-olds, and kids three and under can eat for free.

\nMembers of TACO said the proceeds from the spaghetti dinner will go towards postage for the annual TACO Radio Auction mail outs. The auction, which is broadcast live over WTRN every year, is scheduled for February 10 -11, 2007.
\nCoinciding with the spaghetti dinner, TACO is now selling chances to benefit the Eagle Scout Project of Logan Harper. It is a $1 a chance or eight for $5. First prize is a 38\u201d by 57\u201d quilt; second prize is a reversible snowman table runner and third prize is a pumpkin table runner. The items are currently on display in The Daily Herald window on Pennsylvania Avenue.

\nLife Scout Logan Harper is continuing his efforts for a project at Soldier\u2019s Park.
\nAccording to a past Daily Herald article, Harper chose Soldier\u2019s Park because of the veterans in his family. He said he wanted to do \u201csomething with concrete.\u201d The project will consist of a bench and picnic table placed on concrete pads. He said the bench and table will be bolted so they can\u2019t be tipped. He said the project is estimated to cost about $1,800 and he will have to do fundraising for it.

\nTACO sponsors community events throughout the year such as the Easter egg hunt, the fish rodeo, the Tyrone Halloween parade, a Distinguished Service Award and Boss of the Year Award.
\nIt also sponsors a pee-wee baseball team and youth football competition as well as awards four scholarships of $500 each to seniors at Tyrone Area High School.
