An arrest has been made in the Nov. 18 armed robbery of the Main Moon restaurant in downtown Tyrone.
\nThe Pennsylvania Avenue eatery was robbery shortly before 9:45 that night.
\nPolice said the suspect entered the store wearing a green jacket with a hood and dark jean shorts. He reportedly displayed a black pipe, approximately three feet in length. The suspect demanded money and made off with approximately $550.
\nWilliam Poullos III was taken into custody shortly after midnight this morning at a Pennsylvania Avenue residence. Tyrone Police Chief Joseph Beachem said a warrant for Poullos was issued on Nov. 23.
\nPolice received word regarding Poullos\u2019 whereabouts through a phone call. Officers proceeded to 1405 Pennsylvania Avenue and Poullos was taken into custody without incident. He was given his Miranda rights and provided a written statement to police.
\nAccording to police, Poullos said he was intoxicated and had consumed an unknown amount of Xanax the night of the robbery. Poullos admitted to the robbery but was unsure of exact details.
\nPoullos was lodged in Blair County Prison in lieu of $10,000 straight bail. Tyrone Police were assisted by Bellwood Borough Police.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
