A Tyrone man and his passenger escaped injury in a one-vehicle accident in Antis Township on Nov. 1 at 3:20 p.m.
\nPolice said David L. Hostler was attempting to negotiate a left curve on Igou Road and traveled off the road, due to excess speed. His vehicle struck an embankment. After impacting the embankment, the vehicle overturned and came to a final rest. Northbound traffic was blocked for a time due to the accident.
\nBoth Hostler and his passenger, 37-year-old Lisa A. Lee of Tyrone, were wearing seat belts.
\nHostler will be charged with a violation of the state\u2019s vehicle code.

\nA 36-year-old Hollidaysburg woman, Jenny Lynn Carroll, suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Decker Hollow Road, approximately 1.5 miles west of Adams Ave., in Snyder Township on Nov. 2, at 12:55 a.m.
\nPolice said the accident happened when Carroll was driving her car west on the road at an unsafe speed for wet conditions.
\nShe encountered an \u201cS Curve\u201d in the road and failed to negotiate the curve. Her vehicle spun out, traveled off the road and struck a grass embankment. The impact caused the car to begin rolling over. Police said it rolled for approximately 72 feet to a final rest in the front yard of a residence.
\nCarroll was partially ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Altoona Regional Medical Center for treatment of head and neck injuries.
\nPolice said they discovered that Carroll had allegedly been consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the crash and she was arrested for DUI. The investigation was continuing pending lab blood alcohol content results. Carroll was not wearing a seat belt.
\nHollidaysburg State Police were assisted by the Tyrone Police Department, Tyrone Area Fire and EMS and Russels Towing.

\nTwo people from Tyrone were involved in a two-vehicle accident on old Route 220, approximately 1\/2 mile south of Bald Eagle, Snyder Township, on Nov. 2 at 3:25 p.m.
\nPolice said a 16-year-old male was north on the road when James McClellan, Jr. was preparing to enter onto old Route 220 from a private road.
\nMcClellan failed to see the other vehicle approaching and pulled out. The front of the teen\u2019s car struck the left side of McClellan\u2019s dump truck.
\nBoth drivers were wearing seat belts. McClellan was cited for entering the road in the path of the other vehicle.

\nA Warriors Mark man was the victim of a theft from his front porch sometime between 7 p.m. on Nov. 2 and 4:45 a.m. on Nov. 3.
\nState police said during that time frame, someone entered the front porch area of Brian Cupp of Dungarvin Road and took various hunting equipment and clothing from it.
\nAnyone with information on the crime should contact Huntingdon County-based state police.

\nA rural Altoona man was the victim of a theft at a residence on Sinking Valley Road in Tyrone Township on Nov. 3 between 3:30 and 3:40 p.m.
\nWilliam Ernest said someone entered his home and took several bottles of his medication.

\nA Tyrone woman, Carol Rurabaugh, was the victim of a criminal mischief incident in Antis Township sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Nov. 4.
\nPolice said someone struck the woman\u2019s vehicle with a glass bottle and shattered the rear window. The window was valued at approximately $500. State police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 696-6100<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
