Tyrone\\’s Junior High Lady Eagles may have overlooked the Lady Crusaders from Our Lady of Victory a little bit and it almost came back to cost them. The Lady Eagles used a strong second half effort to subdue a tenacious OLV 25-10.
\nOLV, though undersized, controlled most of the first half, grabbing numerous rebounds and just plain outhustling Tyrone and went into the locker room only down 9-7.
\nCoach Jim Cushion challenged his players to step it up and the Lady Eagles responded with an 8-3 third quarter and pitched a shutout in the fourth.
\nMarah Hawes and Casey Baird led the Tyrone attack as they combined for 12 of the Lady Eagles 16 second half points.
\nAlyssa Cousins led the OLV Lady Crusaders with 9 points.
\nTyrone now 5-14 will play its finale on Thursday at home against Williamsburg
