Everyone is invited to celebrate the 22nd annual community arts and crafts day as area friends and neighbors showcase their handiwork at the Tuckahoe Street Fair tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bellwood\u2019s Excelsior Firehall.
\nThe emphasis of the community fair is handmade arts and crafts and craft demonstrations.
\nSweatshirts and quilts along with arts, crafts and all types of baked goods including cakes, pies, cookies and candy will be available at the fair.
\nArts and crafts featured will be ceramics, wood crafts, quilts, baskets, candles, floral arrangements, painted items, dolls, needlework and machine stitched projects.
\nThis year, the Bellwood Quilting Bees will sponsor a quilt show and exhibition. The show will be held at the Logan Valley United Presbyterian Church, located across from the fire hall.
\nBreakfast will be served again this year by the Excelsior Fire Company.
\nFor all the Civil War enthusiasts in the area, a Civil War encampment will be set up by the Pa. Regimental Band of Civil War Reenactors, the 46th Regiment Band Logan Guard . Also, Jared Frederick will have two Civil War books on hand, \u201cCivil War Leaders\u201d and \u201cMore Civil War Leaders\u201d.
\nThere will be many vendors at this year\u2019s event. There are over thirty vendors signed up to participate this year.
\nSome items available include scarves, lighted garland, fall items, various sewn items, handcrafted cards, beeswax, jewelry, quilts and quilted items, country lighted angels and mailboxes, country decor, pillows and pillow covers, baby quilts, fleece hats and scarves, wall hangings, table runners, place mats, homemade afghans, baby bibs, wedding and baby books, wood crafts, votive candles, floral items, ceramics, fall and winter lighthouses, ghosts, pumpkins, snowmen, ornaments and much more. There will also be mums and pumpkins available.
\nSeveral food vendors will be set up throughout the day including the U.S. Armed Forces Mothers who will sell baked goods, apple dumplings, soups, soda, meatball sandwiches, along with military items. Other food available will be available such as haluska and Kettle Korn, to mention a few.
\nMary Brunner of The Bellwood-Antis Historical Society will be setting up a table and there will be a fly tying demonstration by Ron Berkstresser.
\nAlso, a booth will be set up for Monica\u2019s Heart Greyhounds to provide information on greyhound adoption and Rick Beatty will have an information booth on Olivet Baptist Church.
\nFranklin Ammacher-3-D origami will also be on hand this year.
