An attempted robbery in Bellwood on Thursday is being highlighted as \u201cthe crime of the week\u201d by Crime Solvers of Blair County.
\nBellwood Police are investigating a reported attempted robbery of drugs. On Thursday about 2:30 p.m., it was reported a man entered Kopp Drugs in Bellwood and presented what was believed to be a prescription order.
\nThe employee read the slip that stated \u201cgive me all the Oxycontin and nothing will happen\u201d. The employee showed the slip to the manager, who then called 911. The man fled the store without the drugs.
\nThe suspect is described as a white man between 18 and 25 years-old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and clean cut. He was wearing a blue ball cap, dark clothing and had no facial hair.
\nBellwood Police are working on a composite sketch of the suspect. No weapon was displayed during the incident. A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information in the case.
