The softball game at the Harry K. Sickler Athletic Complex at Tyrone on Tuesday between Tyrone and Lewistown looked much like the first game for five innings.
\nIn that previous game, the Lady Eagles pair of freshmen, Laura Thompson and Teanna Kobuck combined for a 1-0 victory. Thompson tossed the complete-game four-hit shutout, and after Stefani Bryant ripped a second-inning triple, Kobuck followed with an RBI single for what was to be the only run of the ballgame.
\nThis time around, both teams tallied a run in the second inning and that was all the scoring until the sixth frame.
\nThe Lady Panthers parlayed a combination of hits and Tyrone errors and mistakes to put four runs on the board in the top of the sixth and then came back with four more scores in the top of the seventh to run away with a 9-2 win.
\n\u201cWe played well through five innings and a couple of hits and errors hurt us in the sixth,\u201d said Tyrone softball coach Lois Loncher. \u201cWe will regroup tomorrow and Thursday we play Penns Valley at Penns Valley.\u201d
