A rural Altoona woman was the victim of theft at her residence in Antis Township sometime between March 4 and April 4.
\nPolice said Mary Earnest of Findley Avenue, Pinecroft had several pieces of jewelry removed from her home.

\nA 32-year-old Bellwood woman was injured in a domestic dispute on the last day of March.
\nState police said Jennifer Lehman sought treatment at Tyrone Hospital for minor injuries suffered during an alleged domestic dispute between her and a live-in boyfriend.
\nPolice went to the hospital to take the woman\u2019s statement.

\nA Bellwood man had items stolen from a semitrailer that was parked on State Route 453 just south of Tyrone in Snyder Township between 8 p.m. on April 5 and 10 a.m. on April 6.
\nPolice said someone took a washer and refrigerator that belonged to Melvin Schandelmeir.

\nState police investigated a vehicle fire on Old Route 220 at Logan Bell Lane in Antis Township on April 2 at 1 a.m.
\nThe owner of the truck, 53-year-old Michael Rubine of Altoona, was contacted about the fire and said he was not aware the vehicle had been stolen. Rubine then made a stolen vehicle report with the Altoona City Police department.

\nSeveral vehicles and a pedestrian were involved in an accident at the parking lot of Austin Texas Hotdogs in Antis Township on April 2, shortly after 6 p.m.
\nThe crash happened when a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Raymond G. Creely was leaving a parked position and began backing up. Creeley\u2019s vehicle accelerated in reverse and hit the front of an unattended car. That vehicle, a Honda Accord, had minor damage as a result of the collision.
\nCreeley\u2019s vehicle continued to travel and struck the right rear side of a Chevrolet Cavalier. That vehicle was pushed into a pedestrian, 30-year-old Michael Travis Rhoades of Tyrone. The left side of that vehicle hit Rhoades\u2019 right leg as he jumped out of the way. The Cavalier continued to travel sideways and the left rear corner of it struck the right side of a parked Nissan Pathfinder that was occupied by two people.
\nRhoades was treated at Tyrone Hospital and released.
\nCreely and a passenger in his car were both wearing seat belts and suffered no injuries. The occupants of the Pathfinder also were not injured. The Cavalier and Pathfinder had to be towed from the scene. Both had moderate damage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
