{"id":41469,"date":"2006-04-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2006-04-05T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p="},"modified":"2006-04-05T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2006-04-05T00:00:00","slug":"Police-capture-Tyrone-man-after-alleged-assault-and-pursuit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=41469","title":{"rendered":"Police capture Tyrone man after alleged assault and pursuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 20-year old Tyrone man, Curtis Ian Knarr, was arrested early this morning after he allegedly assaulted a woman and then left the scene in Snyder Township using her vehicle.<br \/>\nState police were called to the Cold Springs development on Teaberry Street around 1 a.m. to investigate a domestic dispute. Their investigation revealed Knarr had left the scene in a vehicle belonging to 22-year-old Nicole Lynn Snyder of Tyrone. Police later discovered Knarr operating the vehicle along State Route 453, near the village of Ironville. A brief pursuit ensued and ended when Knarr abandoned the vehicle along State Route 1014 in Ironville.<br \/>\nKnarr was found hiding in some tall grass along a river bank and was taken into custody without incident shortly before 2:30 this morning.<br \/>\nKnarr was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph Moran. He was jailed in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing was set for Knarr on April 11 before Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller.<br \/>\nState police said Tyrone Borough Police provided substantial assistance in the investigation.
