Gertrude L. (Murray) Gunsallus, 89, of Epworth Manor, formerly of Warriors Mark, died December 6, 2005 at Tyrone Hospital.
\nShe was born April 20, 1916 in Waddle, Centre County, the daughter of Mayme (Maines) Clark and Harold F. Clark, both deceased.
\nOn November 29, 1933 in Cumberland, MD she married James Murray who died September 22, 1949.
\nShe has one daughter and three sons: Lois and husband John Carper of Spruce Creek; John and wife Sue Murray of Front Royal, Va.; James and wife Eileen Murray of Warriors Mark and Donald and wife Pat Murray of Morrisdale; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Isabel Brown of Warriors Mark and three brothers: George and Sarah Clark of Claysburg, Robert Clark of New Castle and Marvin and Sandy Clark of Warriors Mark.
\nShe was preceded in death by granddaughter Arlene, great-grandson Matt, great-granddaughter Michele and daughter-in-law Alice.
\nShe was a current member of the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church and a previous member of Spring Mount and Tyrone Church of the Brethren.
\nShe was a seventh Jaycee member of Warriors Mark Grange, honorary member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board in Tyrone, and a member of Tyrone Eastern Star.
\nShe was first employed by Westvaco Corp., Tyrone from 1962-1967 and at Penn State University as a data processing clerk, retiring in 1979.
\nFuneral services will be at the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church, Bald Eagle at the convenience of the family with Pastor Michele Somerville officiating. Place of burial will be Spring Mount Cemetery.
\nThere will be no public visitation. Memorials in her name may be made to the Women\u2019s Fellowship of Bald Eagle United Methodist Church, RD 3, Tyrone, Pa. 16686.
