Some people call it a soup tasting, some people call it a soup sampling, whatever it\u2019s called, the event is coming again to the Tyrone Social Center.
\nThe sixth annual soup sampling will be held on Thursday, December 1 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the social center, 120, W. 10th Street in Tyrone.
\nSeveral of the area\u2019s finest restaurants will be offering samples of their favorite soup. Individuals are invited to sample as many of the soups as they desire and then vote for their favorite.
\nLast year, Burley\u2019s was the winner. They will return this year as the unofficial host for the event, meaning they will have soup available but it won\u2019t be eligible for the prize.
\nSome of the participants this year include Sweet Morsels, Especially for You Catering, The Bull Pen, OIP, Fat Freddy\u2019s, LaScalia\u2019s, The Morning Star Family Restaurant and Burley\u2019s.
\nIn addition, there will be musical entertainment.
\nTickets are $5 and are available at the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce office, G&P Dollar Stretcher, Joybeans, Alice\u2019s Garden, Open Door Visions, Tyrone Community Partnership and from members of the Partnership.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
