{"id":42069,"date":"2005-11-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2005-11-21T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p="},"modified":"2005-11-21T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2005-11-21T00:00:00","slug":"Special-children\u2019s-activities-planned-for-Tyrone\u2019s-Second-Annual-Victorian-Christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=42069","title":{"rendered":"Special children\u2019s activities planned for Tyrone\u2019s Second Annual Victorian Christmas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, the Tyrone Merchants Association, the Tyrone Community Partnership and the Tyrone Arts Council are pleased to announce the second annual Tyrone Victorian Christmas Celebration, December 1-3 in downtown Tyrone.<br \/>\nOnce again, there will be children\u2019s games and activities throughout the day on December 3. However, this year there\u2019s a twist.<br \/>\nAlthough the children\u2019s activities remain free of charge this year, kids will be asked to present tickets in order to participate.<br \/>\nThe activities will once again be held at the Armory from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will be asked to visit local merchants to collect game and activity tickets. Collecting the tickets provides a scavenger hunt type activity for the kids and gets them tickets to participate in the other events at the armory.<br \/>\nParticipants can visit the Bullpen, Monika\u2019s Cards and Gifts and Sam\u2019s Pet Shop to collect a ticket for stocking making. The Doghouse and Rick Day Construction are passing out tickets for the Velcro dart game.<br \/>\nTickets for the lollipop tree will be available at Gardner\u2019s Candies and Burley\u2019s Restaurant.<br \/>\nThe G&#038;P Dollar Stretcher and Scents of Life will have tickets for the M&#038;M Candy Jar.<br \/>\nTo participate in the duck pond, children are asked to visit Joybeans or the Tyrone Radio Shack.<br \/>\nOrnament making tickets will be available at Patrice\u2019s Boutique, Curves and The Beauty Shop, while JC\u2019s Barber Shoppe and Scott Cowfer\u2019s Contracting will have sand bag toss tickets.<br \/>\nKids will have the opportunity to make a king\u2019s crown after picking up a ticket at Rhonda\u2019s Retreat, Cowfer\u2019s Custom Design or OIP.<br \/>\nFinally, ring toss tickets will be available from McKinley\u2019s Furniture and Silverscreen Video.<br \/>\nOnce the children have collected their tickets, they will be asked to present them at the Armory to participate in the activities. Collect all the tickets for a fun-filled day or the kids can choose to collect a few and participate in their favorite activities.<br \/>\nThere will also be a face painting booth located at the Armory and time to visit with Santa.<br \/>\nAlso back again this year will be carriage rides, starting at the rail park. The carriage rides are provided by Diamond Lane Carriage Rides of Roaring Spring and are sponsored by Reliance Bank. Tickets will be available by presale only and are $5.
