The YMCA preschool program for children ages three to four-years-old will once again be offered at the Tyrone Area Elementary School, beginning in September.
\nAccording to a recent press release from the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA, \u201cA caring staff will offer a structured program designed to develop cognitive skills.\u201d
\nParticipating youth will enjoy days filled with free play, social interactions and physical development time.
\nThe YMCA Preschool\u2019s press release stated children must be cared for in a stimulating, safe environment in which the child\u2019s ideas, feelings and development are nurtured and guided by competent, caring staff.
\nTwo sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, will be offered.
\nThe morning session will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Afternoon sessions are scheduled from noon until 2:45 p.m.
\nChildren may be signed up to attend morning, afternoon or both sessions.
\nBefore and after school care will also be provided by the YMCA.
\nThe preschool and before and after school programs follow the 2005-06 Tyrone Area School District calendar.
\nRegistration is now open for the 2005-06 school year. Complete information and tuition prices are available at the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA or YMCA Children\u2019s Center.
