Tyrone Hospital officials announced that Vicki Dugan, medical technologist, has been promoted to the position of laboratory director.
\nDugan assumed responsibility as director effective July 7.
\nDugan\\’s professional background includes a Bachelor\\’s of Science degree in Medical Technology from Slippery Rock University along with 13 years of experience as a Medical Technologist at Clearfield Hospital and Geisinger Laboratories.
\nDugan\\’s responsibilities increased progressively during the four-and-a-half years she has worked in Tyrone Hospital\\’s laboratory. She has undergone additional training to work in both the histology and microbiology areas of the lab.
\nIn addition, she has received training regarding the hospital\\’s two new chemical analyzers and was involved in the installation of the new systems. She also assumed additional responsibility for the hospital\\’s chemistry lab, including quality control, inventory and instrument calibration.
\nDuring her years at Tyrone Hospital, Dugan has also assisted with numerous community events sponsored by Tyrone Hospital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
