An Altoona man was involved in two separate accidents in Antis Township on July 1, shortly before 9 p.m.
\nA vehicle operated by Adam Clarkson was stopped at a red light in the left turn lane of State Route 1001 (old 220).
\nAt the same time, a vehicle driven by Richard Rabenstein of Altoona was traveling north on old 220 in the southbound lane. Rabenstein sideswiped the left side of Clarkson\u2019s vehicle.
\nAfter the impact, Rabenstein\u2019s vehicle traveled north on old 220 and left the scene.
\nPolice said they learned Rabenstein\u2019s identity when they investigated another accident he was involved in shortly after the first collision.
\nRabenstein is facing misdemeanor hit and run charges along with several summary traffic charges as a result of the first accident.
\nRabenstein, Clarkson and a passenger in Clarkson\u2019s vehicle, Heather Clarkson, all were wearing seat belts and were uninjured.
\nAs for the second accident, police said a vehicle operated by Philip Kimberling of Tyrone was stopped at a red light at the intersection of State Route 1001 and 4023.
\nRabenstein was northbound and struck Kimberling\u2019s pick-up truck from behind. Rabenstein was arrested for DUI.
\nBoth men in the second accident were wearing seat belts and were uninjured.

\nA 59-year-old Portage woman was involved in an accident with a tractor trailer at the intersection of Route 220 and State Route 350 in Snyder Township on July 2 at 12:38 p.m.
\nThe crash occurred when Mildred Smith was traveling north and reached the intersection at the same time the tractor-trailer operated by Brian Hollem was making a left turn from State Route 220 in order to continue traveling south on 220. As a result, the truck\u2019s left front struck the right side of Smith\u2019s mini van.
\nSmith had three children in her vehicle: a 14-year-old and 12-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy. All the occupants were wearing seat belts. The three children were transported to Tyrone Hospital.
\nHollem was wearing a seat belt.
\nThe mini van had severe left side damage while the tractor-trailer had damage to its left front side.

\nHollidaysburg-based state police are investigating a burglary that happened at a business in Antis Township sometime between 5 p.m. on July 2 and 7:30 a.m. on July 4.
\nPolice said unknown suspects entered Maple Mountain Industries by breaking the glass in the rear door window. Once inside, the suspects removed approximately $40 in change from a cash drawer. Several other items were also taken including John Deere T-shirts, ball caps, work gloves, air pressure gauges and approximately 10 John Deere Home Maintenance kits.
