Local resident Drew Baker is a young man going places.
\nBaker began five-years-ago, traveling to various churches, hospitals, nursing homes, schools and meetings of various groups, taking with him the message of Jesus Christ.
\nThrough Faces and Places Ministries, a ministry founded by Baker, he and other cast members present original scripts, written by the production company members, about Jesus and other Biblical characters.
\nFaces and Places Ministries is the \u201cumbrella\u201d of Noahlot Productions, a production company started in late summer 2000 when Baker and several of his friends thought it would be \u201cneat\u201d to travel around the countryside sharing the gospel in a creative manner with folks of all faiths.
\nIt began with a Christmas show in December 2000, \u201cThe Journey,\u201d a production that concentrated on the faith of Joseph and Mary as they contemplated the impending birth of the Messiah to them \u2014 earthly parents \u2014 was a success.
\nNow, five years later, Baker and company decided to revisit their first performance.
\n\u201cThe Journey, a Walk of Faith\u201d traces the story of two very separate lives joined together by God to accomplish the miraculous Birth of Jesus Christ.
\nOriginally, the show was comprised of five actors. Now, Baker said 25 to 30 individuals will be a part of the cast.
\n\u201cThis year is our fifth anniversary,\u201d said Baker, \u201cso we decided to revisit our first show.\u201d
\nHe explained the show has been rewritten and a lot of new stuff has been added.
\nCurrently, Faces and Places Ministry is casting nine males and 12 females, plus ensemble roles.
\nThere will be two to three casts for this production due to the nature of the long performance run. Rehearsals will begin in October, with the show opening in early November and playing through Christmas.

\nVacation Bible school is planned for children through sixth grade July 17-19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
\nSkeeter the Clown and all his friends will be on hand for a week of fun, games, crafts and more. Activities will be held at Community Worship Center, 1301 Bald Eagle Avenue.

\nAlso, a Kids\u2019 Christian music, arts and drama camp will be held July 25-29.
\nThroughout the week the children attending will be putting together various dramas, human videos, and liturgical dance numbers for the upcoming fall production of \u201cGod in Us\u201d.
\n\u201cGod In Us\u201d incorporates older-style music with new contemporary songs. Children will also learn aspects of the theater from stage direction to costumes, sound, lighting and much more.
\nAn extra special treat for the children will be taking a trip to Sight and Sound Theaters on Tuesday, July 26 to witness a production there.
