Amato won a slot on November\u2019s ballot, garnering 668 votes yesterday.<br \/>\nJoining Amato on the Republican ballot is Robert Smith, who received 530 votes. Smith beat out current supervisor, Ronald R. Gensamer, who received 363 votes. Gensamer did receive several write-in votes on the Democratic ticket which could earn him a spot at the November polls after all.<br \/>\nWith four seats available in the race for Bellwood Borough Council, sole Democratic candidate Thomas Lechner will appear on November\u2019s ballot, having received 65 votes.<br \/>\nOn the Republican ticket, current council members Susanne Johnson and Fred C. Sweigert move on, garnering 169 and 153 votes. Newcomer Earl L. Garber received 138 votes and former council member Stoddard Martin also moves on with 135 votes. Current Council President Wayne Snare came up short, receiving the least amount of votes with 120. Two other names appeared as write-in candidates on the Democratic ballot.<br \/>\nIn the Bellwood mayoral race, current mayor, James C. Bonsell, ran unopposed, seeking another four-year term.<br \/>\nBellwood-Antis School Board members, John E. Shaffer Jr. and Lisa Kovac will both appear on the Republican and Democratic tickets this November. Shaffer received 779 votes on the Republican ballot and 229 on the Democratic ballot while Kovac garnered 813 Republican votes and 254 Democratic votes.<br \/>\nLinda Cherry will join the pair on the Republican ticket, having received the highest number of votes with 865.
