{"id":43034,"date":"2005-04-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2005-04-27T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/v3\/?p="},"modified":"2005-04-27T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2005-04-27T00:00:00","slug":"Tindara-C.-\u2018Tena\u2019-Turiano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tyronepa.com\/?p=43034","title":{"rendered":"Tindara C. \u2018Tena\u2019 Turiano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tindara C. \u201cTena\u201d Turiano, 86, of 127 W. 14th Street, Tyrone, died Monday, April 25, 2005 at 10:05 p.m. at her residence.<br \/>\nShe was born Sept. 4, 1918 in Campo Grande, Sicily, Italy, a daughter of the Santo and Fortunata (Geraci) Calabro.<br \/>\nOn Jan. 17, 1940 in Tyrone she married Anthony J. Turiano. He died July 6, 1991.<br \/>\nSurviving are three daughters: Florence M. Kilmartin of Altoona, Angela C. Turiano of Hollidaysburg, Anita T. Ray and husband James of Tyrone; three sons: James A. and wife Donna of Brick, NJ, Santo S. of Tyrone, Anthony J. Jr.  and wife Debra of Altoona, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters: Antonette Zanghi and Josephine Fiore, both of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.<br \/>\nMrs. Turiano was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She retired in 1976 from Big Yank, Tyrone as a sewing machine operator following 40 years service.<br \/>\nShe enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, sewing and crocheting.<br \/>\nFuneral Mass will be held Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Church with Fr. Joseph T. Orr, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
