The Tyrone Golden Eagles raked in yet another outstanding victory Tuesday with a win over Mount Union, 119-30 at Mount Union on Tuesday. The boys swept all nine possible points in four events, giving the Eagles a positive start to an overall successful afternoon. The win improves the Tyrone boys to a perfect 4-0 in dual meets.
\nIn another crucial scoring effort, all three of the day\u2019s relays were taken by Tyrone, with teams including Aaron Houck, Nathan Barber, Chris Bradigan and Ethan Nulton (3200 meter), Billy Dean, Trey Brockett, Leonard Wilson and Matthew Lauder (400 meter) and Eric Sweet, Chris Bradigan, Brad Schmidt, and Robbie Gherrity (1600 meter).
\nDouble winners for the boys include Billy Dean (100 dash, 200 dash) and Aaron Houck (1600 run, 3200 run). Junior Trey Brockett scored fifteen points for the team with wins in the high jump, long jump and triple jump.
\nOther winners include Eric Sweet (400 dash), Chris Bradigan (800 run), Sean Ketrow (pole vault), Leonard Wilson (shot put), Terry Tate (discus), and Adam Shaffer (javelin.)
\nThe Lady Eagles lost another to the Trojans, giving up eleven points for an 80.5-69.5 Mount Union victory.
\nScorers for the Lady Eagles included Elizabeth Tepsic (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump), Emily Ingle (1600 run, 800 run), Page Black (400 dash), Sara Halter (3200 run), and Katie Schreckengost (javelin.) The girls also had a victory in the 1600 relay with the team of Ingle, Marissa Hoover, Nicole Cartwright and Kayla Corle.
\nThe Lady Eagles fall to 1-3 on the 2005 track and field season.
\nTyrone faces off against Penns Valley on Thursday, at Spring Mills at 4 p.m.
