In a duel meet with Bald Eagle Area and Bishop Guilfoyle High Schools, the Tyrone boys picked up two significant wins, while the girls walked away with one and a record breaking performance by Junior Emily Ingle at the Harry Sickler Athletic Complex on Thursday.<br \/>\nTheir most significant win of the afternoon, the Tyrone boys sent Bishop Guilfoyle home following a 116-34 shutdown. Billy Dean (100 dash, 200 dash) and Trey Brockett (High jump, Long jump) were double winners for Tyrone in this meet.<br \/>\nOther winners included Eric Sweet (400 dash), Chris Bradigan (800 meter run), Sean Ketrow (pole vault), Leonard Wilson (triple jump), Terry Tate (discus),  Adam Shaffer (javelin) and Tyler Hoover (shot put).  Winning relay teams for Tyrone were that of Nathan Barber, Chris Bradigan, Erin Houck and Ethan Nulton (3200 meter relay) and Billy Dean, Trey Brockett, Matt Lauder and Leonard Wilson (400 meter relay.)<br \/>\nTyrone had sweeps in seven events (400 dash, 800 run, pole vault, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put.)<br \/>\nThe second win of the day for the men was a 110-40 match up over Bald Eagle Area. Multiple winners include Dean (100 meter, 200 meter), Houck (1600 meter, 3200 meter) and Brockett (high jump, long jump.) Single winners were Chris Bradigan (800 meter), Sean Ketrow (pole vault), Leonard Wilson (triple jump), Terry Tate (discus) and Adam Shaffer (javelin.)  Tyrone also won two of three relay events including the 3200 meter relay (Barber,  Nulton, Bradigan, Houck) and the 400 meter relay (Dean, Brockett, Lauder, Wilson.)<br \/>\nThe Eagles swept five events in this meet (100 dash, 1600 run, 800 run, high jump, long jump.)<br \/>\nThe Lady Eagles congratulate Junior Emily Ingle Thursday as she walks away with a new school record in the 1600 meter run. The previous record was set in 1993 by Jessica Noel with a time of 5:38.6. Emily completed the mile with a fantastic time of 5:32, nearly six seconds better than the previous record.<br \/>\nTheir only win of the day, the Lady Eagles captured the win against Bishop Guilfoyle, 107-31. Multiple winners for the girls were Samantha Friday (100 dash, 200 dash, long jump), Emily Ingle (1600 run, 800 run) and Marissa Hoover (shot put, javelin) and Liz Tepsic (300 hurdles, high jump.) Other winners were Emily Lloyd (100 hurdles), Katie Whitby (triple jump), and Ashley Turnbaugh (discus.) The relay teams of Hoover, Whitby, Ketrow and Ripka (400 meter relay) and Friday, Ingle, Hoover, Ripka (1600 meter relay) complete the wins list for the Lady Eagles.<br \/>\nIn the only losing meet of the day, Bald Eagle Area took the win in a very close meet, 79-70.<br \/>\nThe Lady Eagles had strong performances by Ingle (1600 run, 800 run), Tepsic (300 hurdles, high jump), Whitby (triple jump), Hoover (javelin) and the relay team of  Hoover, Whitby, Ketrow and Ripka (400 meter relay) but it wasn\u2019t enough to pull out the victory.<br \/>\nThe Eagles take the track again Saturday, April 9 for a meet with Bedford, away at a time to be announced.<br \/>\nBOYS<br \/>\nTyrone 110 BEA 40<br \/>\nTyrone 116 BG 34<br \/>\n3200 RELAY : Tyrone 9:26.6; 1600 RELAY- BEA 4:05.25; 400 RELAY- T 48.09; 100- 1.
