A Taylor Township, Centre County oil distributor has been victimized by bad checks at least three times since the beginning of the year.
\nFirst, on January 6, 30-year-old Jennifer A. Pressler of Warriors Mark allegedly issued a check in the amount of $266.85 to C. Beard Oil that was returned without payment.
\nLess the two weeks later, 32-year-old Gerald H. Ward of Howard allegedly passed a check for payment of fuel oil for $375 to the same business. That check was also returned without payment.
\nOn February 14, 32-year-old Amy K. Irwin of Bellefonte allegedly issued a check for $250.35 which was returned for non-payment.
\nAccording to the Philipsburg-based state police releases issued last week on the incidents, charges were pending against all three suspects at a local magisterial judges office.

\nA 28-year-old Hollidaysburg man, Gregory Scott Cruse, was assaulted by an individual known to him after a non-reportable accident in Taylor Township, Centre County on March 17.
\nThe accident and the assault incident occurred on State Route 220, four-tenths of mile north of Hollow Road between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. Hollidaysburg state police said they were continuing their investigation as of last week.

\nA garage belonging to Richard Decker of Tyrone was burglarized sometime on March 17 in Antis Township.
\nThe incident occurred at the garage located along State Route 865. Police said the garage was entered and the following items were taken: a 115,000 btu Ready Heater Pro Series, red and white in color; a Milwaukee sawzall in a case, red in color and a Dewalt 12-volt cordless drill in its case with a battery and charger.
