The Daily Herald will soon feature those in the community who are running for public office in the upcoming election.
\nThe series will feature candidates from Tyrone Borough, Tyrone Area School District, Snyder Township, Bellwood Borough, Bellwood-Antis School District and Antis Township.
\nThe Herald recently sent out written requests to all individuals who have not previously announced their candidacy, asking them to provide information for the upcoming series.
\nInformation requested includes what position the candidate is running for, biographical information and past experience. Also, candidates were asked to submit a resume, and a quote or two of why they are running for office. The Herald asked for the information to be up to 500 words in length, and a request for a photo was also included.
\nThe Herald asked for candidate information by Thursday, March 24, and the staff was pleased with the number of which responded by the deadline. However, not all candidates responded by the deadline date, and any information brought in by candidates now will not be accepted for the series.
