\nHe pinned Sam Krum of Bloomsburg at 1:16 of the quarterfinals and used three takedowns to decision Braden Bice of Mercer (44-4).
\nIn today\u2019s finals Tate will wrestle Elliot Bates (43-3) of Chartiers Houston. Tate pinned Bates in the Southwest Regional finals last weekend.
\nTate\u2019s record now stands at 46-0 on the season.
\nWrestling at 160 pounds for Tyrone, Brice Mertiff (39-7) won three times in the consolation rounds on Friday.
\nMertiff decisioned Dan Van Dyke of Lakeview, 11-4 and then pinned Jeremiah Serfas of Athens for his 100th career win.
\nIn his fourth round consolation match, Mertiff made quick of Brian Thomason of Schuylkill Valley (43-7) in 0.29.
