Mrs. Helen G. Wallace, age 86, formerly of 1103 Logan Avenue and a guest at Moran\u2019s Nursing Home, Bellwood, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 3 p.m. at the Tyrone Hospital.
\nShe was born February 11, 1919 in Buffalo Twp., Union County, the daughter of Lloyd Follmer and Florence E. Klingman Guyer.
\nOn Aug. 17, 1939 at Bellefonte she was married to James E. Wallace who preceded her in death May 27, 1966.
\nShe is survived by a brother, Harold K. Guyer Miller of Clearfield.
\nAlso surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
\nShe was preceded by three brothers and one sister.
\nShe was of the Protestant faith and was a graduate of State College High School. She was first employed as a secretary at Penn State University and later as the manager of the Montgomery Ward Catalogue Office in Tyrone and retired from Westvaco as a secretary.
\nShe was an active member and officer of the Tyrone Chapter of AARP and was a member of the original Tyrone Players and of the Tyrone Business and Professional Women\u2019s Club.
\nFuneral service for Mrs. Wallace will be Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Reverend Norman E. Huff officiating. Private interment will be made at the convenience of the family in Eastlawn Cemetery.
