Charles G. \u201cChuck\u201d Little, Sr., 81, of 807 Park Ave., Tyrone died unexpectedly at his residence at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2005.
\nHe was born June 25, 1923 in Tyrone, a son of the late Clyde W. and Edna Belle (Morrissey) Little, Sr.
\nHe was married Oct. 13, 1947 in Tyrone, to Mary H. Garber.
\nHe is survived by his wife and four children: Pamela K. Little, Tyrone; Charles G. Little, Jr. and wife Sharon, Tyrone; Mari Sue McGregor and husband John, RD1, Tyrone and Robin A. Little, Tyrone.
\nThree grandchildren: Mindi McGregor, Ian McGregor and Kodi Little.
\nThree great grandchildren: Justice, Brianna and Trinity.
\nTwo sisters: Donna Fleck of Bellwood and Emma Jane Andreas of Mechanicsburg.
\nHe was preceded in death by granddaughters Erin M. and Carri Jo Little and brothers Fay V., Elmer G. and Clyde W., Jr.
\nHe was a member of the Warriors Mark Bible Baptist Church. An Army Veteran of W.W. II, serving with the 5th Army Engineers in the European Theatre.
\nHe was a member of the N.R.A. and the Tyrone Sportsmen\u2019s Assn. and enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and sports. He was in the Color Guard Unit of the former Gardner Guards of Tyrone and was proud of participating in the Inaugural Parades for Eisenhower and Kennedy.
\nHe enjoyed playing Santa Claus for 30 years and always had a real beard.
\nHe retired in 1986 from Tyrone Westvaco Corp. after 39 years as a papermaker and boiler fireman.
\nFuneral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor Steven E. Burns officiating. Interment and Flag Presentation will be at the Blair Memorial Park.
\nFriends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
